Integration · Orum to Gong

Orum and Gong integration

Orum dials several prospects at once and bridges a rep in when a person answers. Gong is where those conversations should be reviewed. We connect the two so real conversations reach Gong with the prospect and rep attached, and the hundreds of no-answers behind them do not. It is a one-time setup by our team, not a monthly middleware subscription.

Why parallel dialing and conversation intelligence need connecting

Orum exists to remove the dead time from prospecting. It dials two or more numbers at once, uses answer detection to tell a person from a screener, a voicemail and a phone tree, and only bridges the rep in when someone real picks up. A rep can go through a list in a morning that used to take a week.

Gong exists to make sense of what was said. Its keyword trackers look for exact phrases and its smart trackers find a concept however it is worded, and both are only useful if the calls they run over are actual conversations. If a dialer pushes everything it touches into Gong, the library fills with three-second nothings, tracker hit rates become meaningless and managers stop opening it. Connecting the two properly is mostly a question of deciding what counts as a call worth keeping.

  • SDR teams coached on cold callsManagers review real connects from the dial block, not a list of attempts.
  • Teams running objection trackersSmart trackers see every conversation, so hit rates mean something.
  • Sales leaders measuring dial blocksConnects, talk time and outcomes line up between the dialer and Gong.

We are not a middleware. We plan the connection, set it up, test it on your calls and hand it over.

Where Orum and Gong setups usually go wrong

What counts as a conversation

This is the decision the whole build turns on. We agree a minimum talk length and which outcomes qualify, so Gong receives connects and nothing else.

Recording consent on the dialer

Parallel dialing reaches people in several states and countries in one session. Whatever your consent rules are, the calls that reach Gong have to follow them; we build to the rule you give us and your counsel sets it.

Trackers tuned for cold calls

Trackers written for demos miss the language of a cold open. Where it is in scope, we check your trackers against real Orum connects and suggest smart trackers for the concepts keywords are missing.

Reps matched to Gong users

Every Orum user is matched to a Gong team member, so scorecards, permission profiles and team reporting stay correct.

Questions about Orum and Gong

Do Orum calls show up in Gong?

Only the ones you want. We send conversations where Orum bridged a rep to a live answer, with the prospect, rep and outcome attached, and keep voicemails, screeners and dial attempts out.

Will parallel dialing fill Gong with useless calls?

That is the risk, and it is what the setup is for. We agree a minimum talk length and a list of qualifying outcomes before anything is connected.

Will Gong trackers work on cold calls from Orum?

They will run on them. Keyword trackers catch exact phrases and smart trackers catch a concept however it is said, so cold-call language usually needs a smart tracker rather than a longer keyword list.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. You pay once for the setup. Unlike Zapier, Make and similar middleware subscriptions, there is no monthly or per-task charge from us. Your Gong and Orum plans are unchanged.

Rather talk it through?

Thirty minutes on how your team uses Orum and Gong. You leave knowing what we would build and what it would cost.
