How do I know if my website has been hacked?

Common signs are visitors being redirected to spam sites, a “This site may be hacked” note in Google, a red warning in Chrome, strange pages in search results, unknown admin users or a suspension notice from your host.

Will I lose my website content?

Usually not. We remove the infected code and keep your pages, images and settings. If anything cannot be saved, we tell you before we remove it.

Can you remove the Google “This site may be hacked” warning?

Once the site is clean, we request a review through Google Search Console. Google decides when the warning is lifted, which is often within a few days of a successful review.
