Twilio and GoHighLevel (GHL) setup

GoHighLevel’s calls and texts run on telephony that many agencies first set up through their own Twilio account, and others through GHL’s LC Phone. Either way, most problems come from the same places: numbers in the wrong sub-account, texts blocked by carriers, and missed calls nobody hears about. We set it up properly and test it. One-time setup, no monthly fee from us.

Most "GHL phone problems" are setup problems

Agencies tend to find out something is wrong from a client: texts are not arriving, a number rings nowhere, or call recordings are missing. The cause is rarely GoHighLevel itself. It is usually a number attached to the wrong sub-account, a texting registration that was never approved, or a workflow that does not know a call was missed.

In the US, business texting to customers needs A2P 10DLC registration, and unregistered messages get filtered or blocked by carriers. That single step decides whether your missed-call text-back works. We check registration, numbers, call routing and the workflows that depend on them, and fix what is broken before adding anything new.

  • Agencies with many sub-accountsEach client’s numbers, texting registration and workflows set up the same way.
  • Businesses moving numbersBringing existing numbers into GHL without losing calls during the switch.
  • Teams whose texts stopped deliveringRegistration and sending settings checked and fixed.

Where Twilio and GoHighLevel setups usually go wrong

Texts that never arrive

Unregistered or wrongly registered texting is the most common cause. We check the A2P 10DLC status for each sub-account.

LC Phone or your own Twilio

GHL accounts may use LC Phone or a connected Twilio account. We confirm which you are on before changing anything.

Numbers in the wrong place

A number on the wrong sub-account sends calls and texts to the wrong client. We audit every number.

Moving numbers safely

Porting a number takes days. We plan it so calls keep working while it happens.

How we set it up

  1. 1

    Audit

We list every number, sub-account, registration and workflow involved, and what is broken. Written scope, fixed one-time price.

  2. 2

    Access

Agency admin access to GHL, and to Twilio if you use your own account.

  3. 3

    Fix and test

We make the changes, then test calls, missed calls and texts on each number.

  4. 4

    Handover

A short record of each sub-account’s numbers and registration status.

Questions about Twilio and GoHighLevel

Do I need my own Twilio account to use GHL phone?

Not necessarily. GoHighLevel offers its own LC Phone. Some agencies still use their own Twilio account. We work with either and can help you decide.

Why are my texts not delivering?

The most common reason in the US is missing or rejected A2P 10DLC registration. We check it, fix the submission and test sending.

Is there a monthly fee?

Not from us. You pay once for the setup. Phone and texting usage is billed by GHL or Twilio as usual.

Can you move our existing numbers?

Yes. We plan the move so the number keeps working during the transfer.

Rather talk it through?

Thirty minutes on how your team uses Twilio and GoHighLevel. You leave knowing what we would build and what it would cost.
